Memory Care
We designed our homelike, entrance-controlled memory care neighborhood for those with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of memory loss. Private one-bedroom apartments are decorated with familiar and simple interior design with recognizable furniture, uncluttered walk areas and thought-fully designed lighting. Enjoy the entrance-controlled outdoor garden courtyard and four-season porch. A central living and dining area is a natural gathering space for group and one-on-one activities. A staff chaplain is available for visits and familiar worship services.
Amenities include weekly housekeeping services with daily trash removal, daily bed-making, weekly linen change, and three loads of laundry weekly (two personal, one linen). There are three prepared meals daily, plus snacks and beverages. The monthly apartment rental fee also includes television service (70+ channels), basic Wi-Fi throughout community and all utilities except private landline phone service.
A registered nurse will complete an evaluation to determine the services most beneficial for each person and develop an individualized service plan. A team trained in dementia care staff the site 24 hours daily. They learn residents’ stories and help them participate in daily life. Meaningful, ability-centered activities encourage residents to retain life skills longer and experience successes.
